Christopher concentrates his practice in the
area of long-term care regulatory issues. He has a
great deal of experience in appealing nursing
facility survey citations through the informal
dispute resolution (IDR) process, and also with
appeals to the Departmental Appeals Board (DAB). He
has experience in addressing nursing facility
employment matters, such as reviewing and drafting
personnel policies and handbooks and responding to
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and
Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) complaints. He
also has assisted clients with preparing
applications for licensure and Medicare and
Medicaid certification.
Christopher's speaking engagements include
seminars and lectures for the following
organizations: Ohio Health Care Association;
Cleveland Bar Association.
He co-authored an article published in the
LTC Advisor, which is published by the
American Health Lawyers Association, entitled A
Minority Report: Winning Arguments in Falls
Cases.
Christopher was named a "Rising Star" in the
area of Health Care in the 2005 Ohio Super
Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition published
jointly by Law & Politics Magazine and
Cincinnati Magazine.
Christopher received his Juris Doctorate from
the Case Western Reserve University School of Law,
where he graduated cum laude and was the
Managing Editor of the Health Matrix Journal of
Law & Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of
Arts degree from St. Francis College, where he
graduated magna cum laude.
He is admitted to practice in any state court in
Ohio. Christopher is a member of the American and
Ohio State Bar Associations, as well as the
American Health Lawyers Association.
